Section 15
Persistence

(1) In the position of any departmental head or head of office that has a vacancy or position in the health service, the employee of the related group or sub-group one level lower than the position that has such vacancy or position can be appointed on a fixed basis.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the tenure of the post may be extended for a maximum of one year in consultation with the Public Service Commission until a recommendation is made by the Public Service Commission for permanent filling.
